I'm just so damn tired vent
Let me start this vent by complaining that I'm a STOMACH sleeper and this shit seriously fucking sucks! Also, sorry for the novel. I'm also one of the "lucky" ones in this shitty titty club. DCIS stage 0 grade 3 no node involvement. DMX with delayed reconstruction. Took 2 surgeries to get all the cancer, I knew that possibility was there, so ok. I am cancer free, no further treatment needed! Hallelujah! One month after second surgery, the expanders are placed. God, I miss my bed!! Holy shit! I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. First check up everything is good. That was a Monday. Friday night, I notice that my cancer side drain isn't draining. I have no other symptoms of illness at all, so I'm not too worried and will call on Monday. I call at 8am, nurse will call you back. Call back at 9:30, cuz come tf on now. Finally hear from nurse at 10:30 and they want me to go to Emergency Room and be seen ASAP. Off i go, arrive @ 11am. See a dr who's like wow that's some serious swelling. No shit. Well gotta wait for plastics to see you cuz I have no idea. Great 🤯 Plastics rolls up around 5 or 6. No food or drink for all this time. We are going to admit you so we can the fluid out. The CT scan is broken so we have to find another way of seeing what's going on. Really?!? FF to approx 2pm next day. Not a damn thing had been done for me, my chest is damn near back to pre-mastectomy size (D cup), and I'm starting to get pissed. When the dr finally showed up he says they want to keep me another day in hopes of getting me into somewhere to drain my tit. My answer? Fuck you, I'm leaving AMA and will come back for an appointment. Are all the CT scanners in the whole fucking city broken and why couldn't I go over there and get the damn test done!?! No real answer to that, just "sorry not the way it works". 30 min later miraculously a spot opens up in the cath lab and off i go. 15 fucking Oz of fluid! Cultures come back and the fluid is infected. BTW, I've been on antibiotics since expander placement, then IV antibiotics for 2 days, and now a new stronger one. Had check up today, going back into surgery tomorrow to remove cancer side expander. Maybe in 3 months we can try again. I'm so damn tired. Tired of not sleeping, being in pain, worried, scared, and everything else this nightmare has given me. Rant over...for now.
