Could Eminem's Revival count as a trainwreckord in the same way as St. Anger does
Of course Eminem is still wildly successful and popular, just as Metallica were and still continue to be, but Revival has undeniably left a stain on his career and reputation that has never been fully scrubbed off. Even if many considered his post hiatus material to be subpar his status in hip hop felt pretty cemented in the early to mid 10s, it was only after this disastrous album was his legacy really put into question by a lot of people and mocking him became far more commonplace.
Of course it wasn't just the album, have to mention the infamous BET freestyle he did earlier in the year that's been memed to death ever since. Not to mention the beginning of an influx of 'hyperlyrical' white rappers online who clearly took influence from and wouldn't exist without Eminem, and causing one of the most hated subgenres in hip hop I can only think to refer to as 'YouTube Fast Rap'.
I think it's almost fair to say there hasn't been a more infamously bad album from a respected artist since St. Anger than Revival and if you feel like there's a better pick for that spot I'd love to know in the comments but I can't think of anything else in the last 20 years or so from a music legend thats caused such a spectacle from its lack of quality and drastically redirected said artist's reputation. Yes he's had hits since then, Godzilla and Houdini probably being the biggest, but you could potentially attribute a lot of Godzilla's success to the Juice WRLD hook and Houdini is straight up nostalgia bait.
