How did the game get uninstalled?

I had the game yesterday on my laptop and played a few games. Today it says install Valorant???!!

I literally had fortnite before that and the launcher somehow lost track of the files. I didn't fix it but just deleted fortnite completely and downloaded Valorant. Now did the same thing happen again? What is wrong with my laptop?
