Get MSI Claw 8 AI+ or wait for something else?

Hey y’all. I bought a steam deck when they first came out but switched to a windows laptop after being frustrated with game compatibility issues. I find it less comfortable to play games in bed with a laptop than I’d hoped, and so I am looking to get back into handhelds.

The laptop I used had: Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU 3060 Laptop GPU 24GB RAM

I have been trying to find something with the most comparable specs, and it seems like the Claw 8 AI+ fits the bill. However, I wanted to ask you folks for your wisdom.

I play a lot of games that get CPU bottlenecked, like Stellaris and Crusader Kings. If there is a better option in terms of cpu performance for those I would like to know.

Should I get the Claw now, or perhaps wait until the holidays for something better to come out?
