After effect running on 1gb of ram

Hello everyone, i have been having this problem for a while now. Basically my after effect doesn't want to use more than 1gb of ram so it is basically unusable.

Happened recently because i was able to use it less than a week ago.

Tried ;

-Rebooting my computer and the software

-Cleared all caches

-Tried an old version

-Re-installing

This problem is only happening on after effect aswell so i'm lost.
