would it be dumb to switch community colleges?
I’m about to start community college as a cs major in fall. The college I go to is okay but there’s a CC I wanted to go to but the tuition would be higher as i’m not a resident of the county. My sister lives in the county and she would allow me to live with her but it’s kinda too late to switch addresses. I was thinking about switching to that community college in my second year because it just seems to have better opportunities. I do plan on switching to a university after 2 years so it does seem kinda pointless. but the college has transfer agreements with two schools i like (my state school UMD, which my other cc has too, and georgia tech). Would this okay or should I stay at my current cc? I was lucky enough to be accepted into the promise scholarship and seeing as how I didn’t get any aid but loans, it seems the scholarship will be really helpful. I’ll also be accepted into my schools honor program next semester at the completion of a certain course that i take this semester.
in case you were wondering the two schools were prince georges county community college(pgcc) and Montgomery college(MC). I attend pgcc and want to switch to MC.
