Need help with attaching elf ears

So I have an adhesive allergy and I learned just how bad it was when I went to a con wearing elf ears that I had attached by eyelash glue. I’ve also tried putting Band-Aids behind my ears as a barrier and attaching the elf ears over it but it didn’t stay on all that well. I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on how to keep my elf ears attached and prevent them from slipping off so easily.
