Protestant exploring Catholicism - Question
I'm 24 years old and my husband and I have been studying different aspects of Catholicism. I understand much more now and I'm definitely more open to it than I used to be, but there is a lot that is hard I think because of the way that I was raised. I've been asking a lot of questions, and will likely post more, but I'd like to ask one of my biggest questions that's rather personal. I have an auto immune disorder that will cause me to be in the high risk pregnancy category if I were to become pregnant. I currently am on birth control as that's not considered sinful in the protestant faith. My husband and I want kids soon because my doctors have told us that the older I get the significantly greater risk I will be at when getting pregnant. I'm scared of becoming catholic because of this especially thinking about the risk of being pregnant in my late 30s and 40s or having to choose not to have sex with my husband. It makes me very sad to think about not having sex for years. I know NFP can work but I know it's not 100% effective and as I get older I feel like I would just be afraid every time we had sex. I know I shouldn't base my path of faith on something silly like this, and I do know that if it came down to it I know I would choose what I believe is Gods truth first but right know as I wrestle it's just scary. If a catholic could please help my understanding!
