Can I return a NEW opened in good condition headset?

So today, I had bought a GS100 headset, and like what other people had said, it sucked. For me, it didn't work at all, I tried it on my PS5 and 4, also my PC, couldn't be heard, or hear anyone else in the VC. I have the receipt, and the box isn't in bad condition, no rips or tears, the only thing I removed was the tape around the top of the box. From what I have heard, you can't return opened headsets? I think that means if the box is in bad condition, I could be wrong though.
