I told a stranger I don't like small talk!

I have no idea where it came from. The Starbucks people were being so chipper today. When one asked me some generic question and then had to ask me to repeat my answer because they didn't hear, I just said, "I don't like small talk. I know you're trying to be polite, but it's just really awkward for me." I literally have no idea where that came from, but they just said ok and let me wait in peace 🙌🏻 and they didn't even seem that put off by it! Low key impressed myself 😌
