Landlord problem

To make a really long story kinda short, we broke a year lease one month in, didn’t even stay in the house longer than 2 weeks and it’s costed us now well over 4 grand, we paid 800 rent and 800 deposit. Broke it because we had cats the only reason, she was upset we wouldn’t get rid of the cats and stay, there was also an ongoing raccoon issue with the trash, so bad they even found a way inside the home, we had our baby in, that was the last straw we left that night and she started turning Everything on us and making it 100x harder to do anything. When our month was up. She claimed she was not available that day and would be at the beach till the following weekend. 3 days later, while she is still at the beach we decided we would jsut go ahead and get the few things we were gonna grab when we returned the keys that weekend. All of my boyfriend’s fishing poles are missing and a 400 dollar battery jackery and all of his fishing gear and backpacks. And locks were changed. She is being so hard to deal with I don’t even know where to go or start with. Location: West Virginia (of course)
