[USA, CA] Free random beef jerky from Amazon
I order things from Amazon a lot because we live remotely. In with our actual packages one day was another brown padded Amazon envelope. It was addressed to me almost normally - my last name is hyphenated and instead of Firstname Lastname-Lastname it was addressed as Firstname Lastname Lastname with no hyphen. It it was a lot of beef jerky I didn't order. I have 2FA on our Amazon account so my husband just asks me to order stuff when he wants something, so he didn't order it. We're vegan due to his health issues, so it wasn't something either of us WOULD order.
I checked my orders to see if they just put the wrong thing in the package (though that wouldn't address the slightly wrong name on the label) but nothing was missing. It could be a joke but who would send almost $20 of Jack's Links beef jerky as a joke? My friends know how to spell my name. If someone tried to spell my name after hearing it spoken, they'd get it wrong (were it heard spoken they'd think it was spelled "Smith-Tate" and not "Smith-Taite" {example, not my actual name}). It was still sealed - the package as well as both outer and inner individually packaged bags. (This is the specific item https://a.co/d/d8ch08Y). I gave it away to a friend but I am hoping it wasn't messed with. I did tell her the circumstances and she wanted it anyway.
There was no receipt inside, gift or otherwise.
Any ideas? It's been bugging me. I took a picture of the label so I have the numbers if I can somehow track it in the Amazon system. Thank you!
EDIT: Fixed a couple of typos.
