Finance Student looking for a career change

❔ Discussion

Hey everyone, I’m a fourth year actuarial science and finance student finishing my degree this year. But here’s the twist: ever since early last year I’ve completely fallen in love with medicine.

It all started when I launched a research chemical and peptide company. What began as curiosity turned into a real passion for human physiology and performance. I’ve always been interested in the human body, but being hands on with research and formulation made it clear this is what I want to do.

The problem is I’m at the end of a degree in a totally different field. It feels too late to change majors, so I’ve been seriously thinking about doing a post bacc and fully committing to the medical path.

I know I’m coming from a nontraditional background, but I’m curious

• Has anyone here made the switch from finance or something unrelated? • What post bacc programs did you do and how was the transition? • Any tips for someone in my position?

Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar or has advice. Appreciate you all ❤️
