Accurate tutorials?

I’d like to make a touhou-esque schmup game but I can’t find any up to date tutorials anywhere. As a second go, I thought I’d try a platformer but none worked for the current version either. Are there any working tutorials/guides on schmups anywhere? Specifically on making the enemies work properly?
