Making a team of smart people

I have a really great idea for a marketplace, but finding a team to help build it has turned out to be tough—especially here on Reddit. The smart people don’t want to join because they prefer the safety of a steady salary at a big company. The rest mostly want equity and shares in something that doesn’t even exist yet. Now I really understand what founders go through. I get why Steve Jobs was so difficult to work with, and why Mark Zuckerberg fired people so loudly.
