EndurNeck Owners: Does It Really Change the Way You Shred?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking about getting my first Strandberg, but I’m really curious about how the EndurNeck actually feels in real playing situations.
For context, I mostly play technical and progressive death metal—lots of solos, tapping, pull-offs, vibrato, and other fast technical stuff. I really love the necks on Ibanez RGD series and Schecter thin C necks because they feel super natural for this style of playing.
One thing about my playing style: when I solo, I usually rest my thumb a bit higher on the neck rather than down where the EndurNeck’s angled surface would sit. I’m wondering how that translates to the EndurNeck shape.
So, for those of you who own a Strandberg:
How does the EndurNeck feel for fast lead work and intricate techniques?
Does it take a long time to adapt to, or does it feel natural quickly?
Any pros/cons for aggressive metal playing versus traditional necks?
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
