Want to make sure this isn't a scam

I'm selling a laptop I don't use anymore through Facebook Marketplace. I had someone contact me to buy it, asking me to send them a request for the payment through Paypal before I ship it to them. I'm a bit wary since it is a large purchase and their manner of typing seems a bit weird, though it's hard to say if it's becasue they're a scammer or if that's just the way they type.

Is there I way I can get scammed through this if I am the one requesting the payment to them?
