Blank door tag

If a driver leaves a door tag for a package that the shipper told me is signature required but the driver didn't mark anything on the tag, can I sign the tag to allow the package to be left? I have no idea if the shipper selected direct signature required or just regular signature required.

As the driver didn't mark anything on the tag, I don't know if I need to be physically present or if I can just sign the tag.
