Making friends

I live in a city where I know a lot of people, but still I end up feeling loneliest. I’ve ever been Right now my hand is broken still I do not get calls from these friends checking up on me or anything, so I want your help with knowledge on how to make new friends, better social circle so that I don’t find myself lonely and miserable.

What are some things that I can do to make a new social circle from scratch and make friends that remain loyal lifelong friends?
