I’m posting an update cause I tried editing my previous post and it seems it’s not possible, and I’m absolutely unable to respond to all the comments, which I thank you all for, and also for the award, I think it’s my first one ( tho it’s not mine, it’s this precious little ones).

So it turns out I’m not the first one trying to lure this little guy into my house.

I saw him last night near my house when I came from work, I called him and he didn’t run away. I approached him slowly and to my surprise, he stayed and let me pet him. Then I sat on the front steps and he came next to me. He does seem quite clean, although a little skinny, and he’s extremely friendly, which made me think maybe he’s not really a stray.
I fed him and gave him water, he didn’t seem overly hungry, although he did enjoy the treats !

I wasn’t really convinced of letting him inside because I already have 3 small dogs and a cat, and one of my dogs is actually hurt, just took her to the vet yesterday for bite wounds ( a bigger dog attacked her, and yes, I reported the owner to the police because he denied it, even if his dog was unleashed roaming free and several people saw it happen ) , and I was worried about germs or extra stress on her with a new kitten around , especially during the night.

I still couldn’t let the little guy just out in the street , so after around an hour and a half, I decided to leave the main door open, there’s a small hallway and another door to the house , left the food and water for him , even tho I couldn’t quite convince him to come in, he just stayed in front of the house. I eventually went to sleep hoping he would be inside in the morning.

I couldn’t find him when I woke up, but my next door neighbour did know about him.

So it turns out that the other neighbours, 3 houses down the street, they have 5 young kids and they’ve been feeding him and trying to get him to stay inside. He does, but only during the day when it’s hot, he enjoys the food and the attention and then he likes to go out during the night to stroll around the neighbourhood, and he always goes back to them in the morning.

So I guess he kind of has a family… I guess I could’ve managed with my dogs and my cat, getting to know him slowly, but I would kind of feel bad for the kids , taking him away from them… I’m not sure if they took him to the vet or anything, but it’s unofficially theirs now…

Well… at least I guess I can still see him sometimes, and I’m glad someone is taking care of him and gives him lots of love ! Impossible not to fall in love with him!

Update on this pretty little orange gentleman
