Under discussed characteristic of witches

I believe the most interesting characteristic of the witch is that she’s the only infected appear distressed because of her actions towards the survivors.

After she kills someone or gets confused, she’ll look around panicked then scream and run away from sight with her hands/claws covering her face. She will be harmless in this state unless a survivor blocks her path.

The audio of her retreating screams are literally called “horrified”.

This is really interesting to me as no other infected demonstrates this behaviour. I believe there could be a few reasons for it.

I personally believe that she’s experiencing some sort of emotional burn out from her recent switch between depression to extreme anger which causes her to feel intense anxiety and stress.

Whatever the reason. This behaviour separates the witch from the rest of her infected relatives and makes her totally unique.
