[Acne] persistent chin acne?!

Help! I’ve literally never had acne in my life besides a rare pimple here and there. Since May 2024 I’ve had persistent chin acne that just swaps side to side. Last year it was less frequent going away for a few months and reappearing, but this year it hasn’t gone away since February. Sometimes it’s white heads, sometimes it’s red & inflamed, and others deep under the skin.

I stopped hormonal birth control in January, and know it can cause breakouts.

My dermatologist insists that this is not hormonal since it’s not arriving near my period, but idk what to do since I’ve never dealt with acne before. We are trying to conceive so I cannot take any meds, or most creams.

My routine is very simple La roche posay gentle cleanser 15% azelaic acid (prescription, at night) Naturium multi peptide serum (switch on and off using this)

I’ve also been using benzoyl peroxide in the shower every other day.

Not sure what to do…
