Questions/Advice needed: How to prepare for tattoo

I have a couple small tattoos on my forearm but this Saturday I’m getting a bigger one from my shoulder up wrapping a little onto my chest/collar bone. I’ve heard that this area is pretty painful and wanted to know if anyone has any advice on how to get thru the pain or anything you do before hand that helps you get through it? I’m afraid of it hurting a lot and I twitch and mess up the whole thing. Thank!
