Looking for a laptop 600-900$ (CAD)

I'm looking for a laptop that can handle both school/study tasks and gaming, specifically AAA titles like Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Hogwarts Legacy, etc.

I know that in this price range I won’t get max settings or future-proof specs, but something that can run those games at 1080p on low–medium settings with decent FPS would be great.

I’ve seen some HP Victus models with RX 6550M around $840 recently, but I'm hoping to find something a bit more powerful or better value, maybe on sale or refurbished.
