Sooooo....Did the world not care that hundreds of demons invaded a city and killed hundreds after what happened in Persona 1?

I don't remember anyone having their memory wiped or that there was any magic to prevent the events of person 1 from happening. So demons or shadows, whatever you want to call them, invaded and killed hundreds of people in one night, and apparently no one cared afterward.

Like why are you surprised that a cat speaks, Zenkichi? If literally beings from 'hell' were walking the streets no more than 30 years ago.
