My elderly father still hasn't received his refund. It has been received though. Is it just running that late now with all of the staff cuts?

He's kinda driving me crazy about it. I've got to get Social Securtiy to stop the withholding on them since they just get it all back anyway. Do I need to reach out to the IRS or just keep being patient?
