Antibes or... Aix-en-Provence

Hi everyone,

I'm going on a trip in April to Bordeaux (4 days) then I have like 3 nights free then I'm going to Villefranche-sur-mer (by Nice) for 7 nights. I was going to stay in Antibes the three nights between and explore the French Riviera the whole 10ish days but now I'm wondering if I should do Aix-en-Provence those three nights I was planning Antibes instead? Antibes looked nice and a bit busier than Villefranche so I thought it'd be nice, but now I've seen some people say it's gritty/dirty or feels unsafe. I'd fly from Bordeaux to Nice then train to Aix ig, then train back to Villefranche. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. Thanks!
