I have a little favor to ask of the elder rural Scottish folks: i'm trying to remember an old folk song my grandmother used to sing to me. she was born in 1911 in either bells hills or bathgate [not sure which] and was a middle/younger child of 17 siblings, for context. more in post ππΆπ,
it was something about swinging on an apple tree
i can *almost* remember it
it's just out of reach
it was definitely something more rural and folksong in nature
a children's song
it has haunted me for decades
trying to remember it
none of my other cousins seem to remember it
#generationalgaps
makes me nuts that i can't remember it
it was such a beautiful song
