Why should an APST woman lose her ST status just because she married outside her tribe?

I’ve been seeing this again and again and I just have to say it, why are APST women treated like their identity is a joke the moment they marry someone outside their tribe? Like okay, I get the part where people say “the child won’t be ST” if the dad isn’t tribal. Sure. That’s the way the system works, most of society still follows the father’s side for identity and caste/status and all that crap. It’s outdated but whatever. That’s a bigger fight. But why is the WOMAN losing her own ST status?? She was literally born APST. Lived her whole life in the community. She didn’t magically stop being tribal because she fell in love with someone from outside. Why are we acting like her cultural identity is that weak??

Meanwhile, if a tribal man marries a non-tribal woman, no one bats an eye. His wife can enjoy all the benefits, and the kids will be counted as ST too. But the second it’s a woman suddenly it’s a crime against the tribe or something. It’s just such a double standard. It’s not about “protecting culture” anymore it’s about punishing women for having choice.

I’m just tired of seeing APST women reduced to tokens of cultural purity, stripped of rights they were born into just because they made a personal choice.
