2016 Magnificent Telecaster fretboard radius question

So I recently scored one of these used on reverb and I was going to have my luthier flatten out the 9.5 inch radius to 12 but he swears that it's already 12. Every spec I've found for this model, and other American Standard Teles is that they have a 9.5 inch radius. Evidently I need to measure it myself but is a 12 inch radius at all common for American Standard Telecasters, particularly 2016 models?
