The isolation/resentment is starting to build

Rant/Vent

35 weeks along & I have started to feel the sudden dip that must be feeling isolated recently, it should be noted we moved across the country very early in my pregnancy. The first trimester (for the people that knew anyways) was full of as much support as my friends could offer, given it was all over the phone and I was severely ill for the first 25 weeks (thank you HG). I had several friends show up and continue to throughout the second tri, and I had a beautiful baby shower & I feel so lucky.

Now that we’re almost done, this third tri I have been spending a majority of time by myself. I have my husband (who goes to work & I work from home), my family of course, and my one friend, but other than that it’s felt like everyone suddenly lost interest and doesn’t really reach out to ask how it’s going. I get it’s a two way street and I could take initiative myself, but it gets old being the first one every time. I’m especially surprised by the one friend I thought would continue to talk with me over the phone all of the time (we talked every day in the beginning of my pregnancy) & she hasn’t asked about me once since June, aside from attempting to set up a call & then never called. I feel so so grateful for my family support but I still feel isolated for some reason. Again, I’m aware that I could be better & reach out, but is it terrible to have some hope that friends would reach out to me and ask how I am, given I’m the one growing a human and am due soon? I’m also anticipating the excitement returning possibly when she’s born/expectations of meeting her, & this is where my resentment has really kicked in & I have no desire for people who haven’t checked up on me at all to get the opportunity to meet her anytime soon. Am I crazy for this?
