Did I get a good derm exam?

I (m) went to the dermatologist today for the first time and got a full body skin check. I do not feel I got a good check. He checked my face and head, my chest, my back and my arms. But he only checked one armpit, did not heck the back of my legs, did not check my boxer area. Did I get a good exam? Is this normal? What should happen during an exam?
