Am I screwed
I think i broke something on my filter. I have an above ground 15'x30' with a blue torrent cartridge filter. The return felt very weak and the power clean function would fix for a minute then it would slow down again. I took out the cartridge to clean it. I thought I had to disconnect the articulated hose to get the top off, so I did. When I put everything back together, the return was strong again but I had a leak in that hose on the bottom connection (pump). I noticed an o-ring on the ground so i replugged the pool and disconnected the hose to re-insert the o-ring. It looked like it was not seating in the groove. Looked like it stretched out a little. I did try to seat the hose and tighten. I thought I had it, no leak at first while it filled with water. It wasn't until I started the pump when I noticed water dripping at the connection. Now here's where I really effed up. I tried tightening it by hand and couldn't budge it. So stupidly I grabbed my big channel locks and put a little pressure on it. Well it turned to much and water is coming from the threaded connection and also at where the hose goes through the collar. I am looking for this hose to replace it but it i damaged the threads on the pump housing, is there a way to "fix" it to get through the summer?
