New building
I have my house all wired with Ethernet when I built it, I have just built a new shop not far from the house and my Eero network doesn’t reach my previous shed let alone the metal shop next to it. I’m planning to run power out there and trying to decide between burying an extra conduit to run a fiber optic wire from the house to the shop BUT recently found out our p2p wireless internet company is being fiber to my house. Im considering keeping the Ethernet wire run to their antenna and have them replace their antenna with a transmitter and install an antenna on the building (they are in the process of upgrading to Air Fiber so the owner might cut me a deal) so I can have internet out there. The shop internet would just be for phone coverage, YouTube access when working on something, and music access for an Amazon echo…which would you do run a fiber line or do a p2p setup??
