Lazy VA Rater?

C&P Exams :stethoscope:

Submitted a supplemental claim for lumbosacral strain that included a Nexus letter from an Orthopedic Surgeon. The claim already had favorable findings showing a diagnosis and a qualifying event in service (you would think this would work as nexus but whatever), so all that was missing was an official nexus. The one piece of additional evidence I added was the Nexus letter from the Orthopedic surgeon. So what's the VA Rater do? Deny my claim of course and use verbiage from my last C&P exam that Physician's Assistant did not find a nexus. Its like they didn't even open, look at, or read the Nexus letter I provided. So here I go with a HLR with phone call. Fastest claim I have had too. Supplimental submitted 7/25/25 and denied 8/05/25. As the nexus letter stated: "The 'benefit of the doubt' doctrine under 38 CFR § 3.102 should be applied, given the documented in-service occurrence of low back pain and the veteran's service in a high-risk environment." Hopefully the HLR will process my claim correctly.
