Can PVCs cause high heart rates?

I was diagnosed with PVCs in Feb. 2 week monitor showed 7% burden. I’ve also had an eco and stress test, both normal. I see an EP. He put me in metoprolol 25mg. I was still getting a lot of PVCs so he bumped me up to 50mg. Things had been going well. On Saturday I started randomly getting a super high heart rate (160-185). I would be moving around, but not exercising. I would sit until they stopped. Then it would happen again when I would get up and start moving again. Sunday was better, but had a few episodes. It is still happening randomly. I haven’t had any all day, then all of the sudden my heart started pounding when I was walking to my car. I’ve never had an issue with a high heart rate before, just the PVCs. Does this happen with PVCs?
