How early is too early to buy a glove for the future?

I found a deal on a glove that is basically the perfect glove for my kid, but he won’t need it for 3-5 years. What’s the best way to store a premium glove long term, and are there any concerns about Wilson’s superskin/snake skin with aging? Thanks guys, I’m definitely diving in fast, but I understand completely the love (read:addiction) of gloves.
