Branching away from metal

I’ve only been playing guitar for a couple years now but I only really played metal. Started off with sabbath, maiden, Metallica, stuff like that then started learning stuff I really dig like Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Architects, Children of Bodom, etc. but I feel very stagnated in my progress as of the past few months. If I try to play something very technical or difficult to me like Erra or most technical death metal I give up, but if a song looks like I can learn it I read the tabs and say “I can learn that” then don’t bother. It’s like a point where I’m not too challenged but the challenges are way too complicated for me, so I’ve been wanting to branch out of metal and start learning other styles of music but I know nothing about any other genre and need a jumping off point. If anyone has any advice on where to start with that or where to go it would be greatly appreciated
