Self destructive parents

Vent / Rant

Hi, this is my first time posting and I cannot lie, I am going through it right now.
I just got such an amazing opportunity to better my life and my situation and for a couple of days, I was on cloud nine. However, that has now been completely destroyed when I found out that my parents are in hot water... again. I wish I could say this was the first time they were in trouble with their landlord in these last 17 years that they've been there but it's definitely not. It's also seriously contributed to my mental health issues from this location and the past homes. We have lost every home we have ever had in some way. Always moving in and out of my grandma's house who is now dead and cannot come to their rescue again. Yet, they still behave like someone is going to be there to catch them. Growing up, I was relied on heavily - I am really realizing just how badly they did now that I've been moved out for three years. Granted, both have had serious health issues these last couple of years but again... a lot of it has been brought upon themselves by not doing the proper things to care for themselves and the environment they are in.

While I am in a time crunch to move and start this opportunity that again, will seriously take so much stress from me and it is a safe home for once in my life. It's overshadowed with worry and guilt because my parents who are still seemingly calm about it all, face eviction because the state of their home. They have no plan, no where to go and they're not allowed to move in with me to the new place because it is my uncle that owns the property and he got tired of saving them too. I don't know how to be heartless in this situation and I keep having panic attacks just thinking of the seemingly inevitable outcome. They have my sixteen year old autistic brother that they also neglected and I just, I have no idea why they aren't at the very least, thinking of him?

We have family that have helped in the past but they're so stuck in their own reality it feels like. They practically take the help and get right back in this situation while spitting in the help's face. I genuinely cannot wrap my mind around it. Is this relatable at all? Does anyone have even a shred of advice or insight to how to overcome this? How do I help people so dead set on never wanting to help themselves? Who don't believe in the severity of their own mental health and how it ruins the ones they love around them too. All in all, I just really needed a place to vent and if you've at least read this, thank you for taking the time to.
