Moorea family of 4 trip

I’m making a new post since it looks like our plans will have to change up for accommodations for a Moorea trip. Had originally posted about info on staying at a resort, but it seems like with a family of four we’re not going to be able to get what we want, or it will be incredibly expensive. Finding out that pretty much everything on the water or beach is two adults and Max of one minor. I’m thinking we’re now going to have to look at finding a pension type place, but we want to be on the water and have air conditioning. Our boys will be 12 and 15 at the time of Travel so we really only need two bedrooms and two baths. But we are water people, and dive and snorkel so being on the water with good snorkeling out in front is paramount. Any recommendations for nice accommodations that anyone has experience with? Like I said, a/c is important and we don’t need anything super fancy, but something that isn’t rundown or dated would be great. Our open dates are end of May through end of July. What is the best online place to shop the pensions? Thanks!
