Foreign player limit

I did some math: there are 35 US players on the teams collapsing who got regular playing time, plus 10 Canadians. That's enough for an additional 5.6 domestic player per remaining team, meaning the foreign player limit could drop top just 5 per match day roster with, at least theoretically, no drop in quality of play.

Interestingly, the remaining teams have 35 Canadians playing regularly, so if Canadians were designated as foreign players the foreign player cap would likely have to stay where it is.
