Yarn Painting vs. Needle Felting for Baby Wall Art
I'm trying to decide between yarn painting and needle felting for some wall art for the baby's room, and I'm curious about everyone's experiences with both techniques. They both seem like great ways to create textured and colorful pieces, but I'm wondering about the practical aspects, especially for a nursery.
Specifically, I'm thinking about things like durability and ease of cleaning. Would needle-felted pieces tend to shed more over time, potentially posing a hazard as the baby gets older? And is yarn painting more prone to collecting dust that’s hard to remove? I'm picturing doing simple designs, like maybe a hot air balloon or some cute animals.
Also, any thoughts on which technique is better for achieving certain textures or levels of detail? Yarn painting seems potentially easier for bold shapes, while needle felting might be better for finer details like facial features. I'm open to any insights or suggestions!
