New to the industry (and Reddit) — doing LinkedIn outreach for a sock factory, barely any replies
Hi everyone,
I’m new to both this industry and Reddit. I recently started working in marketing for a compression sock factory in Taiwan, and I’m trying to help the team connect with potential brand partners (sports/outdoor/medical).
I’ve been using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for outreach and have sent about 200 messages, but only got 2 replies.
Here’s what I’ve been doing:
- I research each company and their products before messaging
- I write custom messages (not mass DMs)
- I contact people like product developers, sourcing managers, and CXO(I know they are often too busy — I get that!)
- I try to keep messages short and friendly
Is ~1% reply rate normal? Or am I missing something in my approach?
Any advice or insight would be really appreciated. Thanks a lot!
