Post therapy question
To keep make this post short & sweet, I had my very first therapy session as an adult this week. Found out I have CPTSD, which, doesn’t surprise me at all if I’m honest.
After the session I am left feeling strange because I am not sure how I feel about a family member after opening up about some deep things. The therapist questioned the persons reaction which has made me stop in my tracks. I’m now left feeling strange, uncertain, on how I feel towards that family member. I really don’t know how I feel and its confused me. I should also mention that I feel intense guilt for talking about said person in therapy as if that was wrong thing to do. (I think this may be a hold over for always being guilt tripped growing up)
Anyone else? Is this normal and how did you go about it?
(I’m booked in for my second therapy session next week.)
