The threshold at which a user is considered to be too argumentative, is usually based on other users’ expectations of how brief an exchange would be

If someone makes a comment with say five points, and another user takes the time to disagree with each of them and explain why, that’s a perfectly reasonable exchange.

The people who cry “argumentative” just aren’t as capable or willing to defend their opinions, and they’re used to shaming people into submission, as though the only reasonable conclusion of an exchange is for them to get the last word.
