I need a pep talk
After starting semaglutide November 1 lost 30 pounds over the following seven months. (SW 200, CW, 170)I’ve plateaued in the past two months because I’ve failed to adhere to the program. I’ve been on 1.7 mg and the food noise has returned. Still, i’ve maintained that dose in hopes that the effectiveness will return, based on the knowledge that the next step, 2.5 mg is the max dose. When I see the doctor in a couple of weeks it will likely be time to relent. I’ve read that Zepbound (sp?) is often prescribed as an alternative so there is hope. However, I must conquer my cravings until I get relief.
Unsweetened Greek yoghurt was one staple of my diet during the days when I was losing. I mixed it with unsweetened frozen fruit; a satisfying source of protein that I enjoyed greatly. Like I expected, I began to tire of it eventually and haven’t found a substitute to my liking. Now, I upped my intake of carbs, including cookies my husband regularly brings home.
Amazon sells a keyed box intended to hold file folders. I’m ordering one to keep his sweets out of sight and locked away. He eats too many and shows no concern for cutting back.
I’m seventy five and exercise often but have some limitations. My doctor wants me to keep my loss to one pound weekly.
The experience of donning clothes, once too small and now too large gives me a thrill. The hope to keep losing and decreasing the size of my clothes. Time to return to my beneficial behavior.
