Recap: Last time, I opened up my deep love for Mario and the excitement I felt for the 2023 movie-but also hinted at why it ultimately let me down.
The animation is vibrant and fun-the Mushroom Kingdom really pops on screen and looks fantastic.
There are neat Easter eggs that made me smile, especially as a longtime fan.
Jack Black's Bowser brings a lot of energy and humor, even if sometimes it's a little over the top.
