How long does the angst last?

My wife and I are new to this. I want her to have fun with no guilt. I was as prepared as one can be and knew I would have some feelings about being left out. I know women have all the opportunities and men barely get looked at unless you have something special to offer. I don't. I want her to have fun and this guy has been fun for her. She is finally going solo with him but now I feel depressed. Not because of them but because nobody wants me. She enjoys the texts messages etc. I would like that to but it will not happen for me. So please tell me it gets better with time.
