Another 50PLO spot from a learning noob
Hey all, I'm the fish who posted about folding the overpair + NFD yesterday and got rightly roasted by all of you. Here's another one for you guys to roast me about potentially.
50PLO
Hero: SB with 130 BB, dealt 8c7c6s5d
Preflop
UTG folds, MP limps, CO (150 BB) opens to 4.5 BB, BU (80 BB) 3bets to 16 BB, Hero cold calls from the SB, MP folds, CO repots to 66 BB, BU jams for 80 BB, Hero calls, CO calls
I'm guessing most of you will tell me to fold pre? My logic for flatting is that I should be doing ok against most AA combos which I expect BU to have, but BU is short anyway and I feel good about trying to stack off with CO who I expect to flat behind me. When CO repots and BU jams I feel like we have an obvious call with direct odds to win regardless of what villains have and especially if they both have AA or KK.
Flop (250 BB): 9s 3s 9d
CO jams for 63 BB effective, Hero???
Here we brick but are we still supposed to call? I folded because running 2 pair is no longer live but should I have called chasing running trips or straight? I feel like we have close to direct odds to chase here.
Again, appreciate all the feed back from everyone!
