I need some insight
Idk where else to post this, and it seems to be tied to this game specifically....
The entire complaint somehow: playing 7 days to die on my PC will trip the breaker for my room.
To begin, yes, the power for specifically my room gets flipped on the breaker if I play 7 days to die. Not immediately either. Sometimes within 10 or so mins of playing in a world, or sometimes hours later after I begin. Sometimes it goes for 6 hours and nothing, until bam, power gone.
My ACTUAL, real life, house-I-live-in power.
Why is this happening? It isn't with any other games, or things.
You may ask: is there too much going? Maybe it's the last thing to bring the power over the edge?
NOPE!!!
When this happens, it varies. Just now it happened with (things actually running and not just 'plugged in') my AC on max but setting is on low, my TV (I play with HDMI from PC to TV, it's a gaming laptop so that's why), my gfs TV, her PS5, and a box fan. About 5 things. Was about 2 ish hours til it did it.
Yesterday? I had all that on, plus my PS5 in rest mode (today it was Off-off), her switch 2 was on, and her PC was on to play a game for herself. Without my PC on, nothing happened. I turn it on, it's fine. I play 7 days to die for about 12 mins and BOOM, power trips.
Happened again 5 mins after trying again to play, then another 1 hour and 5 mins after I got back on a 3rd time (I been timing them). So I stopped and eventually she went to bed. I thought 'oh she's asleep, so I can try now'.
STILL HAPPENED!!
All that was on was the PC, my TV, fan, AC, and her CPAP machine. Her PS5 was in rest mode but mine was off still. About 4 hours into playing, BAM, power goes out despite nothing changing or being turned on or added.
Nothing else is hooked to the section for our room besides what's all inside of it. So no idea why this occurs.
Wanna know the shitty part?? ITS ONLY THIS GAME THAT IT HAPPENS WITH!!!
I played phasmo with my friend on PC (same PC) with my PS5 on and in the game too (for cross play), along with my TV, controller plugged into the wall for charging, her switch 2, PC, the AC, our fan on high, her TV and PS5 AND her tablet charging and also my VR headset charging too..... AND NO POWER TRIPPING!!!
Is something fucking wrong here? I don't get it. I can understand if too much is happening but it's only when I play this game and even with less active devices running, it still happens despite the vast stuff I can have on and going and including my PC (just a different game) and it won't do it. Over double the amount of things causes nothing but playing 7d2d makes it happen .....
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this? Is there some mod or something that makes my PC take giga power? Or is the game very power hungry, if that's a thing?
